WME-FernandoVFernando Vicente (Madrid, 1964)
A self-taught artist and one of the best illustrators of his generation. He publishes regularly in ‘El País’, in the supplement ‘Babelia’ and in national and international magazines, creates covers albums and has illustrated more than twenty books. He has won three Awards of Excellence from the Society for News Design. His work deserved an exhibition at ‘El Museo ABC de Dibujo e ilustración’; as a painter, he has participated in many collective and individual exhibitions.

One of the most interesting prose writers in Spanish, is the author of ‘El Prado De Los Monstruos’ and ‘Callejero de Judas’. He won the ‘Ojo Crítico’ prize for ‘La Mala Muerte’ ‘La Pasión Según Las Fieras’, ‘Violeta En El Cielo Con Diamantes’, ‘El Rombo De Michaelis’ and ‘Cuando Lázaro Anduvo’, published by Alfaguara. His work has been published in France, Germany, Italy and Brazil. In 2007, he writes ‘What do mice eat”, illustrated by Fernando Vicente.
